Notes

For hosts

Keep and share notes about the event.

Notes

Keep your private planning notes for this event in one spot.

  1. Open the event and go to the Notes tab.
  2. Click "New Note" to start a blank one, or "From Template" to start from a structure you saved earlier.
  3. Press N anywhere on the page as a shortcut for a new note.
  4. Search by title or content, and use the sort button to flip between newest and oldest first.
  5. Inside a note, use Share to decide who can view or edit it, or to get a public view-only link.
  6. Use the bell inside a note to follow it, and you get an in-app notification when it changes.

You will need an event exists first.

Add a note

Add a private or shared planning note.

  1. Open the event and go to Notes.
  2. Click "New Note". With no notes yet, use "Write your first note". You can also press N anywhere on the page.
  3. The note opens full screen. Give it a title where it says "Untitled note", then start writing below.
  4. It saves as you type, so there is no Save button. Close the note when you are done.
  5. Every new note starts private, visible only to you. Use "Share" inside the note to open it to others.
  6. New notes cannot be added once the event is over.

Share a note

Set who can view or edit a note, or share a public view-only link.

  1. Open the event, go to Notes, and click a note to open it.
  2. Click "Share" at the top. Only the note's author sees this button.
  3. Under "General access", choose who can see it by default: "Private" (you plus anyone you add), "Public" (everyone on this event can view), or "Team" (your team members on this event). "Team" appears when you work for a business on the event.
  4. Under "People with access", set each person to "Viewer", "Editor" or "No access".
  5. Turn on "Anyone with the link" for a public, view-only link that needs no account, then click "Copy".
  6. Click "Done". While the link is on, "Copy link" is also in the note's "..." menu, and its badge reads "Public link".

You will need an event exists first.

Save or start a note from a template

Reuse a note’s structure: save any note as a template, then start new ones from it.

  1. To save a note as a template, open it, click "..." at the top of the note, then "Turn into template". Only the note's author has this option.
  2. Enter a "Name" and an optional "Description". If you work for a business, choose the "Owner": "Just me", or your business so your team can use it too.
  3. Click "Save". The note's title and body become the template.
  4. To start a note from a template, go to the event's Notes and click "From Template".
  5. Pick one under "Start from a template". A new note is created from it and opens, and each template shows how many times it has been used.

You will need an event exists first.

Subscribe to a note

Get an in-app notification when a note you follow is updated.

  1. Open the event, go to Notes, and open the note.
  2. Click "..." at the top of the note, then "Follow". The same menu is on each note card in the list.
  3. When someone else edits the note, you get one in-app notification after they finish, not one per change.
  4. Private notes have no "Follow", because nobody else can edit them.
  5. You follow your own notes automatically. Choose "Unfollow" in the same menu to stop.

You will need an event exists first.
